Only to Almost

I was just speaking with my brother, Kevin, and he said something intersting that had never really occurred to me. He mentioned that it surprises him how quickly time can go from "only" to "almost". For example, "Wow, it's only 8:20pm!" to "Wow, it's almost 9:30pm already." A drastic change in time's fickle attitude in less than an hour.
