Happy 2005!
I never truly understood all of the hoopla around the new year. It really is rather arbitrary, but I guess it's human nature to mark the passing of time. Peoples of just about every culture do it in their own way.
I know I'm marking mine... 25 more weeks until I graduate! I actually have it marked on my calendar... the weekly countdown. Then comes the daunting task of finding a job. At least that might allow me to buy a functional car.

Happy New Year Bert.
I don't understand the hoopla either. There are so many calenders in the world who's to say the one we use is correct, in universe space time anyways.
Sad to hear your little car with a ding has a few more dings, but i'm glad to hear you don't. Hope your feeling better.
About the Walmart thing, get this when my girlfriend and I went to Disneyland we went on the Small world ride. Now the idea if of course that every nation is represented, or so I thought. So there we were in our little small world boat booting along when Canada came up or that is to say the one non-animated character dressed as a mountie with a bird on his head. That was Canada in small world. The worst part was the bird looked tropical and as far as I know isn't native (or real) to Canada. I felt under represented. Stupid small world ride!
*sigh*
