Procrastination

Officially, I woke up at about 9:00am today; however, I didn't get out of bed until after 9:15am because it was cloudy and dreary outside. I had planned to start right in on my reading for my classes. I have to present on Tuesday and should be prepared. So, I cleaned the bathroom. Then, I made some scrambled eggs and ate them in front of TiVo. Checked my email (nothing). Washed the dishes and noticed the sink was really dirty. Cleaned the sink. Noted that the shiny sink made the kitchen look dirty. Cleaned the kitchen. Took a shower. Checked my email again (still nothing). Mom called! She's visiting grandma. Talked to grandma for 3 minutes and mom for 10. Remembered I should call Doug back. Forgot to call Doug back because I started to play Kingdom of Loathing. Doug called! Talked to Doug for 45 minutes. Realized that while I had been doing all of these things, the clouds had cleared and it was sunny! Went for a walk to Haight Street. Gawked at Halloween freaks and regular, everyday Haight Street freaks. At 4:00pm, I returned home and resolved to start homework. Mom called again on her way home. Talked to Mom for 40 minutes. At 4:45pm started reading again. Got up to pee. Got distracted by my shiny computer... Blogging. Perhaps I'll tap dance on Tuesday instead. If I distract them, they won't notice I never read the assignment.
